INAISCE ➔ FALL/WINTER 2011

InAisce showed a unisex collection during New York Fashion Week. Jona who is InAisce presented his Fall/Winter 2011-2012 collection "Ashen Tundra" which means “Frozen Roads” was the name given to this inspiring collection in color tones of black and grays. Through the garments Jona’s intention was to evoke the severe yet tranquil alpine environs of his youth. (The designer grew up in the rocky mountains of Colorado).
His message was well translated through the colors that he used and the choice of skins and fabric that executed the pieces. Leather, sheepskin and wool paired with cashmere and lycra materials on slim to the body silhouettes created the collection. A few of the pieces were deliberately left undone to give the look of disheveled but combined with well crafted tailored pieces gave a beautiful contrast to the clothing. Down to every detail of creation including the calfskin highlander boots that were part of this collection, InAisce is a label representing art and through its execution….it shows.
