MAD SubCulture's "Mission Statement"

Hello friends! My name is Filipe Macedo, I am currently living in Lisbon, Portugal. I created MAD SubCulture in hopes of encouraging a community of people excited to go out and be creative! The site arose from the need to express ideas and spread a flood of interesting things rolling in urban and digital life around the world.

Presently, MAD SubCulture celebrates creativity in all of its modern manifestations (urban culture, fashion, design, graphic arts, style, cinema, music, entertainment, nightlife, etc.). We are not a trend-spotter, trend-watcher or trend predictor. We select what we think is beautiful and enduring from all that is sought-after in design, lifestyle, urban living, fashion and pop culture.
The site can be a place to find inspiration, and of course a guide for planning your week full of fun nightlife, excellent music, great films and much more.

And don't forget that MAD SubCulture is a digital space open to ANYONE! So if you’re browsing the site and you suddenly feel like ‘Hey, I want to share something’ - send us an email! We want to support the creative arts, and hopefully you will find in the future YOUR inspirational work displayed on this site.

You may have also heard about our INFAMOUS PARTIES where some of our friends like to be a bit crazy. Boy or girl, you‘ll need a lot of creativity and face paint to join this wild party that is already redefining Lisbon‘s night scene.
It’s a space where you can be whoever or whatever (including your true self). A place with no prejudices or judgments, somewhere to let your creativity run free.
