ClashClub comes to Lisbon!

As from today, MAD SubCulture is the official blog of ClashClub in Lisbon!

ClashClub is a dance event that has become a national reference in electronic music. After many requests, Positiva and Rooster united their efforts to present ClashClub in Lisbon for the first time.

After a very successfull NYE edition in Porto, ClashClub Returns to Villa on April 9th with SebastiAn, Freima DJs and Glam Slam Dance.

On April 10th, Lisbon sees the return of SebastiAn. LX Factory will also be the stage for the Discotexas showcase, with DJ sets by Xinobi and Bandido$ and also a live act by Gun n'Rose.

The first supporting act will be the winner of the challenge "I'm sick of playing in bars".

SebastiAn

Part of SebastiAn's charm comes from the difficulty in defining him. From the brutality of Dog's punk-rock , to the hype edit of "Killing in the name of (Rage Against the Machine) to the sensuality of the remix of Sexual Sportswear by Sebastian Tellier, SebastiAn wanders in his own aesthetic sense in the various musical interpretations he does.

The thin line between (un)known was drawn from obscure gigs in one day and the immediate rise as a supporting act for Daft Punk on gigs worldwide.

In 2004 he signs for Peter Winter's (Busy P) label Ed Banger Records and releases 3 fantastic EPs: "Smoking Kills", "Ross, Ross Ross "and" Engine" turning SebastiAn in one of the top personalities of the French electronic music scene.

Who was closest to define SebastiAn was probably his friend Kavinsky, who said his sound was like "rhythms of tobacco cough, small noises of washing machines and potentiometers in sudden overload."

In between appearances as an extra in some porn movies of John B. Root, and composing the soundtrack of "Steak" with Mr. Oizo and Sebastian Tellier, SebastiAN edits the compilation "SebastiAn Remixes" which includes a mix of names as varied as Klaxons, Kelis, The Rapture and the Kills.

Glam Slam Dance

GLAM SLAM DANCE is the name of the compelling DJ duo from Lisbon, the charismatic and Mario Valente Señor Pelota. Don't know them? Liars ..! These 2 "boys" have a long career with some of the most memorable nights of almost all dance venues in Portugal. Breakbeat, electro, techno, but also the punk funk and nu-disco, anything goes when what matters is rocking the dance floor until there is no one left.

Freima DJs

restlessness, strong desire, desire for action, movement. Collective of adventurer saints, rhythm vagabonds: artists, technicians and thinkers involved in praxis and aesthetics of change.

LISBOA

Xinobi

Musician par excellence, an excellent musician, Bruno Cardoso uses the guitar during the day and keyboards, synthesizers and records at night.

His music takes us to an imaginary of palm trees, sea, a beautiful sunset, or reminds us on how interesting our favorite movies soundtracks can be.

Xinobi is the sensitivity of 60's Pop, Disco Sound and progressive psychedelic in the 70's, 80's Break Dance, American and French 90's house and all the recycling of 00's.

Bandido$

Already played in 300 clubs, all in Portugal. Europa, Lux, Minimercado, Alcantara Club, ZDB, Music Box, Maus Hábitos, Pitch, Plano B, Gare, Casa da Musica, Passos Manueln to name just a few.

Gun n' Rose

Gun N' Rose is one of the most perverse sides of Nuno Rosa (yes,from Dezperados, also known as Pinkboy). He is moved by Techno, House, Electro, served in a progressive and tense mode for a public ready to risk their lives on the dancefloor. You know where you are? You're in the Jungle!

Challenge

Good news! MAD SubCulture has 10 single ClashClub tickets for you! All you have to do is send us (to info@madsubculture.com) the most original and creative use of the famous SebastiAn's Ross Ross face. Everything is allowed, photos, videos, drawings, sculputres, cakes, LEGOs, ... anythink you can think of. The only rule is the presence of the face. Here's the stupidiest example we could think of:
