Tha Bloody Bastards
Barbara was an eightyfive year old lady who lived in the quiet town of Brighton far away from London; being retired she enjoyed a calm daily routine. Having been a teacher all her life, she managed to save enough money, earned from giving classes and tutoring, to buy herself a small apartment with a seaside view, in an almost crumbling building.
She used to describe it as “A slice of paradise” to her old colleagues. When Brighton’s night-life suddenly exploded, Barbara saw no harm in it, after all that Fat Boy Slim seemed to be a decent boy. On the few ocasions she’d seen the lad shopping in the Tesco, he’d be carrying cans of apple or cranberry juice. His girlfriends on the other hand were linked, in Barbara’s mind, to excessive drinking and drug abuse. Nevertheless, things seemed to be under control, Brighton was a quiet town, having a fair amount of sunlight and a couple of youngsters who had some fun every now and then.
But things began to change when two boys moved into the apartment on the floor above Barbara’s. They were DJ’s later to be called “ Tha Bloddy Bastards”. Her nights quickly turned into a nightmare, then her days were to be taken away from her as well, since the loud music played contiuously. Barbara felt as if she had been fooled, her heart started to beat franticly like it did in bustling London, and the cold sweat was running down her neck again.
And it would be to the sound of James Brown’s “Soul Power” that death would come to her, suffering from a heart attack in her frail state after having been subjected to enumerous sleepless nights. Yet, before taking her last breath she had sworn to avenge her death on those two boys. She would keep her promise by haunting every Dj-set those two boys would do, for as long as her ghostly condition might hold.
“Tha Bloddy Bastards” where her last words, while her apartment furniture went on shaking, dying, she went on uttering softly “ tha bloddy bastards… tha bloddy bastards…..”

The September Issue
Anna Wintour, the legendary editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine for twenty years, is the most powerful and polarizing figure in fashion. Hidden behind her trademark bob and sunglasses, she has never allowed anyone to scrutinize the inner workings of her magazine. Until now. With unprecedented access, filmmaker R.J. Cutlers new film, takes the viewer inside a world they only think they know. Every August a record-breaking number of people cant wait to get their hands on the September issue of Vogue. The 2007 issue was and remains the biggest ever, weighing over four pounds, selling thirteen million copies, and impacting the $300-billion global fashion industry more than any other single publication. He takes us behind the scenes at Fashion Week, to Europe, on shoots and re-shoots, and into closed-door staff meetings, bearing witness to an arduous, entertaining, and sometimes emotionally demanding process. At the eye of this annual fashion hurricane is the two-decade relationship between Wintour and Grace Coddington, incomparable Creative Director and fashion genius. They are perfectly matched for the age-old conflict between creator and curator. Through them, we see close-up the delicate creative chemistry it takes to remain at the top of the ever-changing fashion field.

Vogue China
Science & Technology within fashion innovation has become the new black. Once upon a time, scientific advancement meant crease free fabrics and unusual surface textures, but now it’s all about Science as a muse. Chemicals, Metals, Industrial finishes, Acidic vs. Alkaline and the good ‘ol periodic table are all having fashion “moments”. Vogue China have picked up on this and dedicated a whole story to it in their August issue. Shot by Greg Kadel and featuring Eniko Mihalik, “Scientific Glamour” is a tribute to the power and inspiration of Science within the fashion industry.
Set against a futuristic building (not unlike that of the Bilbao in Spain) Eniko poses against the reflective surfaces of the building using light, shadow and shape to create the final images. Each piece selected by stylist Brian Molloy employs some sort of scientific textural quality whether it be a simplistic looking floral skirt coated to appear like plastic or an architectural paneled dress in light reflecting sequins. If you mix equal parts fashion with liquid science, the results are positively explosive!

ELNA for Nike
Israeli Designer ELNA created a short video to basically give a very quick overview about that the shoe game is all about. His custom line of Nike Dunks recently were shown as well. He mixed his love for sneakers, music and art in to a quite impressive animation through the world of sneakers. He shows his designs and features some quotes from famous shoe heads of the past and present. He was assisted with a track from Markey Funk.
