autoKratz are a London based electronic duo composed of David Cox and Russell Crank. They have released on both French electronic label Kitsuné Music and their own imprint Bad Life.

Attaque is an extraordinarily precocious talent making some of the best modern techno we've heard. Tiga, Erol Alkan, Fake Blood and Brodinski all agree.

CRYSTAL CASTLES ➔ SUFFOCATION VIDEO

Considering that their sophomore album dropped way back in May of 2010, it’s crazy to see that Crystal Castles are still releasing music videos from the project in 2012.
The latest, and presumably final visual from their album is for “Suffocation”.
The clip is a collaboration between CC and Vs. Magazine, and it’s officially being billed as a “fashion video“, it was shot on location in an “abandoned mansion” in New York.

‘MY NEW FRIEND BOY’ ➔ KARL LAGERFELD

Chanel has released a mini silent film “My New Friend Boy” featuring Alice Dellal, for the new Chanel Boy handbag collection, directed by Karl Lagerfeld. The only sound accompanying Dellal’s quest for her Boy bag is the dramatic sound of a piano. As expected, the British model/rocker has brought her rockier edge to the campaign too, as she sports dreadlocks and her trademark ripped tights and leather.

One listen and you can tell that Yuksek is a multi-talented instrumentalist, both writing and producing everything.

Brodinski’s remix is a stinging bit of machinery, every beat a needle stabbing into Yuksek’s joyous notes while never fully defeating them. You can download it for free via soundcloud !

Jeremy Scott’s ➔ Fall/Winter 2012

For Jeremy Scott’s latest Fall/Winter 2012 collection, the American designer stayed consistent with his reputation for using bold prints and glaring colors to showcase the seasonal range. The latest collection has allowed the designer to dabble more on unique fabrics, gender-less silhouettes, psychedelic graphics and aesthetics. Thematically, the collection gives nod to the reliance of a culture upon the instant gratification serviced by Google searches and the prevalence of an increasingly digitized generation.

As always this Jeremy Scott collection offers bold, youthful styles for those daring enough to wear them and ties fashion, culture and art together in a way that can be expressed through the wearer’s own individual style.

Deadmau5 ➔ Maths

Deadmau5 releases the track that has been floating around on the web for a long time, called 'Maths'. It has been released on mau5trap. The song is a funky and progressive electro-house track, you can easily hear his signature drum patterns and synth shots. Mad track!

Felix Cartal ➔ DOMO (DIM MAK)

Vancouver-based Felix Cartal has been making electro, house and afrobeat tracks for a while now and he always seems to come up with unique sounds and production styles. Cartal maintains an aggressive release schedule leading up to the drop date of his sophomore LP “DIFFERENT FACES” on Dim Mak Records in late March 2012. The 2nd single, DOMO, taps into aggressive sounds and Japanese pop culture, a precedent to the brand new, heavily animated video, properly curated to the theme of its name- “Domo”!

Touch of Evil ➔ Cinematic Villainy NYT

Touch of Evil is the New York Times magazine’s video gallery of cinematic villainy, inspired by nefarious icons and featuring the best performers in film from the past year.

“Likability may be the currency of movie stardom, but most actors agree that the juiciest, most memorable roles often belong to the villains. The 13 performers featured in this year’s portfolio have distinguished themselves in 2011 by playing nice, noble, tragic and heroically patient characters — as well as many who defy easy description — but as a rule they have not impersonated monsters, killers, thugs or other figures of malevolence. So the magazine offered them the chance to try on the black hat.”

Directed by Alex Prager with music by Ali Heinwein, the shorts pay nefarious tribute to some of more memorable rogues of film history.
