Autoerotique stores electro, techno, house, Dutch house, Dutch-colonial house, rave, rock, rave-rock, indie-rock and even ska on speed dial and calls them up frequently. Their effortlessly protean, shape-shifting sound can careen wildly from project to project, so it’s not unexpected to hear them transform from Techno to, say, Norwegian black metal on the same record – thus, earning them the lazily au courant nick name “Autobots”.
This Canadian duo just released their massive new "Freak" EP on Steve Aoki's Dim Mak label, and it's safe to say that they killed it!! The main/title track "Freak" is a dirty techno bomb that's destined to cause a mayhem wherever it's unleashed, but there was still another track on the EP that we liked even more; "Turn Up The Volume"(official video above)... An absolutely crazy electro house/techno rave cut with a little bit of Dutch flavour! This is the first music video from the French band La Kvlkd entitled «Symptoms» directed by Etienne Perrin with a very easy listening track. The first EP is planned for this summer.
➔ H&M’S STAR-STUDDED FASHION AGAINST AIDS COLLECTION
Artists from the worlds of film and music are supporting Fashion Against AIDS (FAA) this Spring, H&M’s and Designers Against AIDS’s (DAA) mutual initiative to help spread the message of safe sex and HIV/AIDS prevention to young people around the globe.
Selma Blair, Penn Badgley, Keri Hilson, Sky Ferreira, Akon, Nikki Reed, Ginnifer Goodwin, Scissor Sisters, Shiloh Fernandez and The Misshapes are among the celebrities involved in this year’s FAA collection, which for 2011 is a unisex range.
The collection is available in H&M’s Divided department and online from April 26, with 25% of sales donated to the charity Designers Against AIDS (DAA) and various other international HIV/AIDS prevention projects. The FAA campaigns have so far raised more than 41 million Swedish krona.
