Milena Krais ➔ 'DEFORM'

Hamburg-based designer Milena Krais has presented 'DEFORM' at DMY berlin 2011.

Made from brightly colored knits, this six-piece collection draws from the imperfections of human bodies to create plush seating forms.

'DEFORM' furniture challenges us to question the contradiction of beauty and uglinessand to break with the pressure of pursuing the perfect body,' says Krais. Located in the former city airport belin tempelhof, this year's DMY (international design festival Berlin) featured products and projects from over 500 designers, not only showcasing products, the exhibition also shed light on the concepts, processes, and stories involved.
