Walk Over Bucks

Of all the so called “heritage” brands to have a resurgence in the last few years, Connecticut’s Walk-Over Shoes is definitely one of the oldest. Founded in 1758, the company has been making footwear in the United States since before the states had even officially united. 250 years later, and the brand continues to craft every pair of shoes it sells by hand in the US. The co.’s Suede Bucks – its most enduring and beloved model – feature a cushioned leather footbed, calfskin lining and Goodyear welt construction, so you can swap the soles when the time comes. Available in a slew of colors (with both classic red brick and vibrantly hued rubber soles), the shoes are a great warm weather option for the traditionalist and modernist alike.
